Research Interest: Innovative Multimedia and Interdisciplinary Storytelling
This research area delves into the fusion of emerging technologies with live performance, focusing on innovative multimedia projections, advanced sound design, and interactive digital platforms. By investigating interdisciplinary approaches that meld visual arts, digital media, and theatrical traditions, this work seeks to redefine the theatrical experience and create a richer narrative tapestry.
Central to this exploration is expanding audience engagement through new forms of immersive and participatory theatre. By developing methods that challenge conventional interaction, we aim to reimagine the relationship between performers and audiences. Integrating advanced sensory and multimedia elements, the goal is to craft transformative experiences that leave a lasting impact.
Additionally, the research emphasizes the delicate balance between emotional resonance and artistic experimentation. It examines how subtle artistic choices—such as design, gesture, and nonverbal storytelling—can forge profound emotional connections while ensuring that familiar elements within productions provide audiences with a sense of grounding amid innovative practices.
Finally, this investigation looks ahead to the future theatre, speculating on its evolution in a technologically advanced, post-pandemic society. By addressing the need for theatre to remain relevant, challenge societal norms, and embrace artistic risks, this research seeks to influence the next wave of theatrical experiences, ensuring they resonate with contemporary audiences.
